You’ve registered to Plunge and raised your donations, awesome!
Now it’s Plunge Day…
Take a look below for what to expect during this Year’s Polar Bear plunge!
Check In
Check in will Start at 10:00am in the Kinsley Ballroom at the Berkeley Hotel located at 1401 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park NJ. There will be 2 lines; one for Pre-registered Participants and one for Day Of Registration Participants.
We have streamlined our check-in process, but can never predict when crowds will be heaviest. We encourage you to arrive early to check-in on the day of the event!
All participants MUST check-in prior to Plunging!
What are some tips to make check-in go faster?
Register online. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. We take registrations on the day of but it’s MUCH faster if you’ve already done the online registration process.
When possible, contact us prior to arriving at registration with questions about online donations or issues regarding registration. If questions arise day of find the nearest Sons Of Ireland Volunteer, they’ll be happy to help you!
What do I wear to Plunge?
You can wear whatever you want to Plunge – bathing suit, street clothes and even costumes!
What else should I bring to Plunge?
For the best Plunge experience, make sure to bring the following:
A towel to dry off and warm up with.
Old shoes, aquatic shoes, etc. Don’t forget to bring a pair of dry shoes to wear afterwards.
A duffel bag, backpack, garbage bag, etc. It’s a good idea to bring a bag for dry clothes and your Plunge incentives, as well as a plastic bag for your wet clothes.
Dry replacement clothes. After you’re done Plunging, it’s nice to have some warm and dry clothes to party in.
Another Plunger! Recruit a friend, family member, co-worker or acquaintance and get them to Plunge with you. It’s always more fun to Plunge with someone!
Cowbell: you can never have enough Cowbell.
How else can I have an awesome Plunge experience?
Leave valuables at home or with a spectator.
Carpool! Parking can be crowded so help us out by coming as a group.
Bring your friends, families, and coworkers The more the merrier!
